Lessons for iMovie App Reviews

25 add

Great for anyone going from PC to MAC this sure isnt Sony Vegas!

I tried learning it on my own and continually ran into roadblocks so after finding this App I quickly learned what I needed and began making short videos.

Content Ok, But App is Buggy

Installed the app and started to view content. Video would become jittery when moving mouse over and displaying the transport controls. Also, while in full screen one of the lesson videos ended and the screen went to full white and I could not exit no matter what key I pressed. All it did was beep at me and finally the ESC key did eventually work but once I returned to a windowed version of the program all my icons on my desktop were gone. Uninstalled the program and rebooted. Now I seem to be back to normal. This is a little too buggy for me.

recommend

If you want to make professional movies this app will definitely satisfy your expectations. All things are easy and understandable now.

Advanced Keying! Picture In Picture! Precise Audio Ducking! Key Frame Animation! App Previews!

iMovie’s simple interface lead me to believe it was only aimed at beginner level editors. I had no idea how robust iMovie really is! Beyond just exploring every hidden feature Mark and Steve offer a straight forward workflow that will forever change the way you edit. From using external drive libraries to generating your app preview videos with extra functions specifically tailored to developers iMovie has become a new tool in my own development process. I’ve been learning motion graphics and editing techniques from these guys tutorial videos for years now. Mark Spencer is an Apple-certified Trainer for Final Cut Pro and Motion. And Steve Martin owns and operates Ripple Training. These guys are excellent teachers and format their lessons with clarity and brevity.

Poor support

I like the app but the support is really bad. The app quits unexpectedly all the time and they dont have good support. I feel frustrated but once the app is running the tutorial is good.
